What are the dues for an online club?Back to Top
Membership dues for online clubs are the same as in person or hybrid clubs: $60 USD semiannually. Please refer to Policy 8.0 of Policy and Protocol for the prorated amounts based on the joining month.

Can a member of an online club be a judge at speech contests?Back to Top
Yes. However, judges must be physically present at the competiton.

How are online clubs aligned?Back to Top
Online clubs can be part of a district. It is the club’s choice whether they would like to be part of a district or remain undistricted. We recommend Online Clubs select a district to receive district support and participate in district sponsored events.

How do online clubs pay dues?Back to Top
Dues are paid the same way as any other club: either online through Club Central or by submitting payment information, the list of renewing members, and membership applications to World Headquarters.

How is website content for online clubs regulated?Back to Top
Each club is responsible for its own website content, and each club must adhere to the Toastmasters' brand standards and policies related to trademarks and copyrights.

Do online clubs participate in the Distinguished Club Program (DCP)?Back to Top
Yes, they do. However, clubs that are undistricted (online, hybrid, or in-person) earn recognition by achieving one less goal: Four goals for Distinguished, six goals for Select Distinguished, and eight goals for President's Distinguished.

Do online clubs participate in club officer training?Back to Top
Yes, they are welcome and encouraged to participate with their selected district. If the club is undisticted, they may want to contact local districts for permission to attend their training.

When an online club has an interpersonal conflict, where should its members go for assistance?Back to Top
Conflict at the club level should be resolved by the club (see Policy 3.0 and Protocol 3.0: Ethics and Conduct). If a club or member needs additional assistance, they can contact World Headquarters directly for support.

Do club assets inlude the cost of equipment for online clubs?Back to Top
As is the case now, World Headquarters does not get involved in club finances or inventory club assets. Any costs associated with needed equipment or technology will be the responsibility of the club and the members of the club. (See revised Policy and Protocol 2.0.)

Are online clubs listed in the Find a Club feature on the Toastmasters website?Back to Top
Online clubs are not searchable in the Find a Club feature at this time. However, there is a page listing online clubs and their meeting and contact information.

Are proxies handled differently for online clubs?Back to Top
Proxies at the club level, district level and the Annual Business Meeting at International Convention are no different for online clubs from traditional clubs.

Are there any changes to the education program for online clubs?Back to Top
No. The education program has not changed for online clubs.

Does Toastmasters International supply the means by which online clubs can meet (i.e. equipment)?Back to Top
No. Each club must determine the online platform and equipment to be used at their own discretion and expense. Each member must also provide their own technology and equipment at their own expense.
