What is your understanding of the Region Advisor role and how does your experience relate to the role?

I see the Region Advisor as a coach and a resource for the District teams in the region. My leadership experience in Toastmasters and in the organizations where I have worked, as well as my teaching experience perfectly align with this, since I often find myself supporting others in reaching their (or their organization) goals.

What is your experience with coaching individuals and/or teams?

I often train individuals about using EU funding for research projects. After having trained them on the rules and processes of applying, I coach them and their teams on actually going forward and designing projects, starting from generating ideas, and getting the team to own them and get passionate about them. I also often manage projects where I lead international teams over which I have no power and who often do not have a complete knowledge of the process.

Why are you interested in serving as Region Advisor?

I would like to continue to serve the Toastmaster community putting my experience and my time at the service of all the District teams in my (or another) region. I find it interesting and fascinating to continue to develop my leadership skills in supporting other individuals and teams and contributing to their success, while at the same time continuing to learn through practice.
