What is your understanding of the Region Advisor role and how does your experience relate to the role?
A Region Advisor coaches, advises, and supports District leaders in 4-6 Districts, helping them create healthy and productive relationships, that assist them with leading successful and Distinguished Districts. Region Advisors are also responsible for District Leader Training two times a year. I feel my combined 40+ years career in senior management, training and experience as a professional coach, and almost 20 years of Toastmasters experience will support my success.
What is your experience with coaching individuals and/or teams?
Over the last decade at my work, our market and revenue shrank annually, as our CEO reduced budgets and increased product output goals. My creative and product team improved with every challenge, meeting bigger goals. We automated, created more efficiencies, and streamlined delivering earlier each year, without losing quality, and while keeping great team spirit and camaraderie, despite regular layoffs and cutbacks.
Why are you interested in serving as Region Advisor?
I love coaching and supporting leadership in Toastmasters, and I am ready to go worldwide. Before Toastmasters, my personal vision was purposely local and safe. Being in District leadership, and meeting other Toastmaster leaders from around the world, helped me open up to a new world view. I want to explore my new world vision, while assisting Toastmasters around the world to be who they are called to be.
