What is your understanding of the Region Advisor role and how does your experience relate to the role?

The Region Advisor supports the Districts by working with the District leaders to fulfill the District Mission. In addition, the Region Advisor serves as a sounding board, coach, mentor, and anything else in which the Districts require support.

What is your experience with coaching individuals and/or teams?

As Immediate Past District Director, it was my honor to serve as a mentor to the incoming District Executive Committee. One of the joys of leadership in Toastmasters is to see people that you mentored move from Club officer to Area Director to Division Director and, eventually, District Director.

Why are you interested in serving as Region Advisor?

I want the chance to help other Districts by serving as a coach/mentor and to continue serving Toastmasters by applying what I've learned during my leadership journey. Some of the things I have learned are the importance of delegation in building new leaders, looking at issues/challenges from different perspectives, and working with a wide range of people from diverse backgrounds.
