Funding Training

It is appropriate to use district funds for district leader training and should be a top priority when developing a district budget. A maximum of 30 percent of the total budget can be allocated to officer training.

As part of district leader training, districts may include educational sessions on communication and leadership for non-officers, but district funds cannot be used to subsidize separate sessions for non-officers. Administration of training should be kept as simple and cost effective as possible.
