What is your understanding of the Region Advisor role and how does your experience relate to the role?
The Region Advisor role is to support the District leaders to achieve the District mission. I also view the Region Advisor role almost as the "Area Director" for Regions - meaning coaching, mentoring, and hand-holding (where appropriate) is all part of the role. It is NOT to do it for them, or tell them what to do, but rather share best practices and support where each leadership team needs it.
I'm a great candidate for the Region Advisor position because I have a 20-year career of training, connecting, and coaching. Plus, having completed the four-year commitment as a Club Growth Director through to Immediate Past District Director, it has taught me a lot in the problem-solving and mentoring arena as it pertains to Toastmasters specifically.
What is your experience with coaching individuals and/or teams?
Well, that's been part of my career for the past 20 years, so I think I've got this one!
Why are you interested in serving as Region Advisor?
Two reasons: a new challenge, the first beyond my District. Also, I have a record of service to volunteer organizations since 1991 and I would like to continue.
