Semifinals and World Championship of Public Speaking — Get ready for the 2022 International Speech Contest semifinals and World Championship of Public Speaking® at the first-ever Toastmasters International hybrid convention. The semifinals and World Championship of Public Speaking will also be held in hybrid formats, with contestants competing on-site and virtually. Each participant will have the option to present onsite from Nashville or online from their home country. This allows all contestants to participant in the contest, regardless of travel restrictions. Register now to cheer on and be inspired by the contestants!
2022 Voting Proposals — Have you heard about the proposals for the 2022 Annual Business Meeting in August? The Board of Directors is putting forth 12 proposals this year for consideration by the voting membership. Visit the Proposals page and read through the Frequently Asked Questions for more information on the proposed amendments to the Bylaws of Toastmasters International and the Club Constitution.
District Leader Training — Toastmasters International will conduct a training program for 2022–2023 District Directors, Program Quality Directors, and Club Growth Directors. District leaders will develop core leadership skills, share best practices, and network with others from around the globe. Visit the District Leader Training page in Leadership Central for more details. Submit your District leader list as soon as possible so that we can share more event details as they become available.
Schedule Candidate Talk Time — Have you scheduled a conversation with the international candidates yet? Please keep in mind that with travel restrictions still in place for parts of the world, some candidates may be unable to attend the International Convention. Consider scheduling time to talk to the candidates before convention; candidate calendars can be found on this scheduling site. For more information on the International Officer and Director candidates, please visit the Toastmasters International website.

Year-End Planning — Don't forget that June 15 at 11:59 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time (UTC –6) is the last day for District leaders to place supply orders or to access the District reserve account for the 2021-2022 program year! Your District accounts for 2022-2023 will be available beginning July 1.
Working on Last-Minute Achievements? — All club submissions for the program year must be received no later than 11:59:59 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time (UTC –6) on June 30. Submissions received on or after July 1, 12:00:00 a.m. Mountain Daylight Time (UTC –6) will be applied to the 2022–2023 Program Year. Additional explanations of deadlines and how to submit documents to World Headquarters are outlined in the Distinguished Club Program Manual.
Reporting Requirements Due July 15 — Throughout the year, District Directors are required to submit reports to World Headquarters. Please make sure that your reporting requirements are met by July 15 to maintain access to your District reserve account. Additional details will be provided in upcoming emails from the District Growth and Support and District Finance Teams.
Last Call for Convention Sponsors! — Toastmasters International is taking applications now through June 24 for its global showcase opportunity in August. Do you think your company or club corporate sponsor might be an ideal convention prospect? If so, share sponsorship details with company representatives, if so, and suggest convention is an ideal venue for them to gain worldwide exposure to their brand, products, and services. Applications are due June 24.

Region Quarterfinals Underway — The 2021-2022 International Speech Contest continues at the region quarterfinal level. Judging for each region will begin as soon as each District in that region has submitted a video of their District-level contest. Results from each region will be announced by early July.
