District Realignment
Joint Realignment Committee Responsibilities
Each District assigned a Representative to serve on the Group (Joint) Realignment Committee within their Group. Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Develop new District boundary proposal options for their assigned geography with a goal of each District being composed of 120 to 180 clubs.
- Follow a comprehensive process established to consider many boundary options, which ensures a strategic and holistic approach is taken for the entire geography.
- Utilize data analytics to provide detailed insight into boundary decisions.
- Ensure all boundary proposal options receive consistent, thorough and detailed consideration.
- Communicate regularly with the Steering Committee, especially in cases where other Districts or regions may be affected by the committee’s work.
- Recommend a final boundary proposal, that is in the best interest of Toastmasters International, to the Board of Directors for approval.
