District Realignment

Joint Realignment Committee

Each committee will work together to:

  • Analyze the assigned geography to determine new District borders with a goal of each District being composed of 120 to 180 clubs in good standing.
    • Review all clubs in the geography and decide what new boundaries are most effective – according to geography, population, transportation, growth opportunities, etc. – not simply dissolve the smallest District.
  • Understand perspectives, address concerns, and work toward a mutually beneficial proposal.
  • Work within the given timeline.
  • Communicate regularly with the Steering Committee, especially in cases where other Districts or regions may be affected by the committee’s work.
  • Provide regular updates to leaders of affected Districts.
  • Present tentative proposals to affected District Councils for review and feedback.
  • Present a final proposal to the Board of Directors for approval.
